Omepprazole has enabled me to take painkillers for Rheumatoid Arthritis without upsetting my tummy.

I no longer take omeprazole.
I consider myself fortunate in that, once I was in a position to do so, I took steps to re-evaluate both my diet and, more importantly, my exercise regime.
It does however "do what it says on the box" and settled my acid reflux enabling me to get on with my life.

I THOUGHT I WOULD STOP TAKING THIS MEDICATION, TO CUT DOWN ON THE TABLETS I AM TAKING.... BUT AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS I DECIDED TO GO BACK ON THEM AS I STARTED GETTING THE PAIN IN MY STOMACH, I GET NO SIDE EFFECTS AT ALL.

Needs to be taken regularly and preferably at the same time for each dise

Omeprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Omeprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
